A Little About Me

I married my best friend, Sam in June of 2023 and we have been having the best time doing life together. He is my most valiant supporter, selfless helper, and simply the best partner.

He is also a middle school math teacher!

My family and friends are the most important things in my life. We are all super close and I am now an aunt to 4 nieces and a nephew, who are my world.

My older sister was the first person in front of my camera and my main test subject in the beginning years. Now I get to document my family as we all grow up and add spouses and now little ones.

It’s one of my greatest honors being our documentarian.

I am a current graduate student at Radford University as a candidate in the Master's program in Fine Arts with a specialization oil painting! So translation- I paint all the time when I'm not shooting, editing, or with my family.

I love it because it enacts the other part of my brain where I can use my hands to create, and not only a shutter on the camera. Plus, now I see composing an image in a similar way to creating a painting.

I notice that they both make each-other better and help the other along.

While I'm editing I often have "New Girl" or “Friends” on in the background or a classic rom-com that I’ve seen a million times. My favorite movie is a tie between Ghostbusters and Star Wars VI.

If you spot me at a coffee shop though, I probably have music in my headphones and that could be anything from - Olivia Dean, The Lumineers, Laufey, Sierra Ferrel, Noah Kahn, Sabrina Carpenter, Tyler Childers, Hozier, Maverick City Music, and pretty much a collection of everything in between!

I don't go anywhere without Burt's Bees chapstick. I am often sipping on an iced coffee or a Dr. Pepper, but unfortunately for my body, rarely water.

I adore my cats Pinto and Beans. I am big on thrifting and Facebook marketplace finds, even the sketchy ones. I love a treasure hunt for something handmade or beautifully aged.

I also am a novice seamstress for myself and my family - if something rips, I’m your girl. Also I can knit you a scarf, but to be clear, that is the only pattern that I know.

Choosing a photographer is a big deal.

That's why it's SO important to me that we are aligned and gel well together. After all, we will be spending a large portion of time together on one of the MOST important days of your life.

No couple is the same, therefore no wedding or session is the same. Choosing me as your photographer means more than just having someone show up on the day. To me, it means having someone rooting for you + your love every step of the way leading up to and even after your wedding.

It is my goal that your day is that full of trust, joy, and intentionality. These three things are my "why."

I do not take it lightly that you would trust me with one of the biggest days of your life. Leading up to your wedding we will talk expectations you have and what you'll receive from me so that there is no room for confusion. I’ll send over questionnaires, guides, and other helpful info to keep everything crystal clear. Throughout our time working together, we'll grow to trust each other so when the big day comes, it’ll feel effortless.

Joy

It is my hope that your day is filled with joy. I belive that joy is a gift given to us to provide comfort and peace. It's my prayer that your wedding will be as stress-free as possible for you both so that you can focus on the love surrounding you and the beautiful moments throughout the day. My hope is that working with me is joyous all around, and that each image reminds you of the love that will be so ever-present on your wedding day.

Intentionality

Every part of your wedding is important to me. I love what I do so much and it is such an honor to witness your love up-close and document it with care. I will be there as your cheerleader, schedule-keeper, professional third-wheel, and memory preserver. You and your partner planned a meaningful day with the most intimate details that encapsulate your love story. Those little details matter and I will be sure to cature them all.
